Arts Council of Ladysmith Wins $1000

Opus Art Supplies ran their 2nd annual Opus Art Brings Us Together giving program where the public was asked to nominate their favorite arts organization. The organizations with the most nominations where then sent into the second round where again the public had to vote on the selected nominees. The six nominees with the highest votes were awarded one of six $1000 gift cards to Opus Art Supplies.

We are happy to let you know that because of your votes, we were among the six who received the $1000 gift card along with South Kamloops Secondary School, Pemberton Arts Council, AesthetiKs LAB, Kamloops Arts Council and Lena Shaw Elementary School.

Our goal for our gift card is to provide art supplies and projects to our community. This is something we had been planning for a while but never had the necessary funds to be able to afford the supplies for these free kits. We are looking to launch our first kit in June 2022 as part of our Abstract exhibition and then to have kits available at our large event Arts On The Avenue in August 2022.

Thank you for your continued support!
