Meet Vancouver Island artist Nicole LaPointe! Enjoy our Q & A and don't forget to follow her on social media.
1. What does creativity mean to you?
Creativity is more than something you do, it is something you express. It is a way to explore the beauty - however that may look - within you and around you.
2. Where do you find inspiration?
My biggest inspiration comes from colour. More than just a rainbow, but from the different gradients of colour, the different varieties and how they interact with our lives in all ways.
3. What advice would you give an emerging artist?
Even if you think it is impossible, try anyway. Give it a shot, more than one. Learn, adapt, grow, and go again. Do what feels right for you.

4. What is a dream you would like to become a reality?
To have an impact on people with my art. For others to feel something when looking at my photos. And to bring some comfort to others with the beauty of our natural world.
5. Describe how art is important to society.
Art gives others another perspective. And perspective is what changes our world.
6. Give a fun fact about yourself.
I am an animal lover! When I was younger, I once all at one time had 8 budgies, 15 hamsters, a gecko, 3 cats and a pond full of fish! Today, we have 2 budgies, 2 cats and a pond full of fish!
