About the Event

Join experienced instructor and traditional craftsperson Andrew Kent for a hands-on, single-day workshop where you'll build your own rustic willow chair—based on a time-honored design from Kentucky.

Perfect for beginners and enthusiasts alike, this immersive class offers a practical introduction to rustic woodworking techniques. You'll work with alder for the frame and willow for the benders, learning how to shape, bend, and assemble your very own chair using traditional methods.

All tools and materials are provided, and you’ll leave with a finished chair—and the skills to build more!

Note that you will be on your feet for much of the day. Each participant is welcome to bring along one person to assist them.
