About Angie Scorer:
I live, work and play on Vancouver Island. The striking landscape influences me in many ways, including my jewellry designs. The mountains, ocean and forest drew me to the west coast in my early years and now I find it is their natural, raw beauty and flow that inspire many of my designs. I am also inspired by what I would wear - something minimalist and yet still expressive. I love working with silver and stones that are less flashy and more earthy. The more natural and organic in form, the better!
Designing can be fun, but I'm most excited about the making part. I love creating something new that moments before did not exist. Going through the steps of cutting, bending, soldering...puts me in a state of creative and calm flow. If passion is defined as what we can lose ourselves in, then my passion is for making jewellery.
