About the Event

Choose your own adventure either developing a small series of whale works or creating one larger whale watercolour painting if you'd prefer. We’ll paint whimsical, colourful, joyful whales in watercolour and explore composition, a specialised West Coast colour palette, and learn about some techniques and materials the instructor uses to create her own work. This workshop is suitable for beginner to intermediate artists, and it's suggested that beginners opt to work on a series of smaller whale projects. Paints, mediums, brushes and other special materials are supplied by the instructor. Please bring a packed lunch and cash to purchase watercolour paper from your instructor ($5 for five 9x12" sheets or $8 for one large sheet of Strathmore 22x30‘’ cold-press paper).
