About the Event

Torn Paper Collage: Designing a Floral Bouquet

Join us for a playful and creative workshop where you’ll compose a floral collage created from torn painted papers. Learn the basics, including colour and pattern selection, and the layering and placement of shapes––all leading to the creation of a flower bouquet!

You’ll be guided through the techniques of paper tearing in order to achieve a variety of blooms and foliage. With a demo and composition formula in mind, have fun designing and assembling your own unique bouquet on a pre-painted canvas background.

Finished examples, idea sheets, and floral shape references will be provided, along with instructional segments and ample time for questions as they arise. Creativity and experimentation are highly encouraged!  Throughout the session support and inspiration will be available and everyone will leave with a finished piece of art.

This class is beginner-friendly or for artists looking to explore a new medium. All materials are included. (Please feel free to bring a snack if you wish.)

Two dates to choose from:

Saturday, January 24th, 2025

Saturday, February 21st, 2025
