About the Event
Stephanie Roth and Braiden Stevenson, an extraordinary director-choreographer duo, are set to infuse a burst of springtime magic into this spring break camp. Drawing inspiration from the beloved musical Matilda, this dynamic pair promises an enchanting experience filled with iconic songs and scenes from the production. This camp will be a unique and unforgettable celebration of the arts. Get ready for a delightful fusion of creativity, music, and movement that brings the spirit of Matilda to life in an fun and imaginative way! Participants will not only explore their artistic talents but also have the opportunity to make new friends, fostering a sense of camaraderie. Between all the fun performing arts activities, there will be supervised play, lunch, and snack breaks. The culmination of their efforts will be a heartwarming presentation for loved ones, showcasing the newfound friendships and the vibrant creativity that has flourished over the week together.
Each participant is asked to bring their own lunch, water bottle, and clothes that they can move freely in.
About the Instructors:
Stephanie Roth is an accomplished performer and teacher with over 35 years of experience on stages worldwide. She has toured internationally with the Broadway tour of RENT and performed in the original Canadian company of The Who's Tommy. Stephanie also established the Stephanie Roth Performing Arts Studio, here in Ladysmith in 2021, teaching private and group singing lessons plus providing comprehensive performing arts programming for people of all ages.
Braiden Stevenson began tap dancing at the age of 5, and it was quickly apparent that he had a passion and a talent for all things dance! He graduated to ballet and jazz by the age of 10, and in grade 8, he spent two years at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School. Upon graduation in 2005, he moved to Tokyo, Japan to perform with Disney! Since then, Braiden has been a presence on stage, delighting audiences everywhere he performs!
Note:
If your child requires additional one-on-one support, they are welcome to attend with a responsible helper. On a case-by-case basis, providing a responsible helper may be a requirement for participation.
