About the Event

This beginner-level workshop is the perfect welcome into the wonderful world of printmaking. In this session, we will learn about monotypes, a technique that does not make permanent marks on a plate, to create one-of-a-kind prints. Using non-toxic materials, participants will make prints in black and white and then in color. This is a great workshop for anyone with little to no printmaking experience as well as for those who are tentative about their drawing skills. Other topics in this workshop will include shop maintenance and safety as well as printmaking terminology.

Please Bring:

  • A full water bottle and a bagged lunch
  • Clothes that can get a bit of ink on them
  • Items to experiment with for adding textures (must be flat and soft such as string, bubble wrap, cling wrap, textured paper, plant material)
