About the Event

This is a great introductory workshop to the wonderful world of printmaking. Together, we will learn  about monotypes, a technique using plates and a press to create one-of-a-kind prints. Using non-toxic materials, participants will make prints in black and white and then in color. This is a great workshop for anyone who is new to printmaking or has a little experience, as well as for those who feel tentative about their drawing skills. Other topics in this workshop will include print shop procedures as well as printmaking terminology.

Please Bring:

  • A full water bottle and a bagged lunch

  • Clothes that can get a bit of ink on them

  • Items to experiment with for adding textures (must be flat and soft such as string, bubble wrap, cling wrap, textured paper, plant material)
