Explore the creative potential of printing on paper using a gelli plate and acrylic paint. This will be combined with a sampler of other art materials and techniques including drawing, mixed media, stencil design and image transfers. Each participant will produce stylish prints that can be made into cards, collages or embedded into other artwork. The final project will bring it all together with an accordion or flip book to showcase some of your creations.

We are following current COVID-19 regulations: Masks are mandatory inside the building, and we will be checking for proof of full vaccination for participants born in 2009 or earlier.

These classes are suitable for art beginners through to experienced printmakers who love colour and patterns. Handouts will be provided. All materials are included, but if you wish to bring your own, please feel free to do so.

Week 1: Introduction to gelli plates, going over paint application, building backgrounds

Week 2:  Stencil designs, incorporating mixed media and drawing elements

Week 3:  Image Transfers

Week 4: Create accordion book or Flip Book
