About the Event

In this one day workshop, suitable for all levels, you will create an eye-catching mask that is perfectly suited for completing your masquerade ball ensemble (Ladysmith Arts will be hosting a masquerade ball at Aggie Hall on October 28). We'll start with plain white masks and add colour, texture, embellishments, and plenty of visual interest to make your mask one-of-a kind.

Led by professional artist and experienced educator, Josslyn Meyers, this workshop will guide you through the step-by-step process of dreaming up, designing, and making a masquerade mask. All supplies will be included.

Please Bring:

  • Clothes that can get a bit of paint and glue on them
  • Water, or a caffeinated beverage if you'd prefer
  • A snack to share, if you'd like
  • Any special embellishments you would like to include on your mask (feathers, ribbons, lace, beads). This is optional since materials will also be provided.
