About the Event

In this one-day workshop, intended for the beginner to novice, we will sample a variety of printmaking techniques including monotype, collagraph, drypoint and working with carborundum using a plexiglass plate. We will go through the full process from mapping out a design, preparing the plate, then printing on the press. We will discuss composition, layering, and different ways to work with your finished prints. The day will also cover printmaking safety and orientation of our print space. All materials included. Please bring an apron. This workshop is a prerequisite for those wishing to join our open studio printmaking group.


About the Instructor:


Francesca's passion for printmaking came into existence during her second year of art school. She completed a collection of courses in this medium and went on to do an additional 3 years of directed studies in traditional printmaking. Her work focused on mental health and the natural world.…
