About the Instructor:

Francesca loves creating colorful and abstract work using printed papers and other mixed media materials. She has been working primarily with gelli plates because they offer wonderful possibilities to layering, use of color and patterns. With a focus on accessibility and affordability, Francesca has taught students from primary to adults to explore and appreciate the process of printmaking.

Francesca holds a BA in Visual Arts and Theatre from Vancouver Island University.  She teaches at Nanaimo Ceramic Arts Studio & Gallery,  Artists in the Schools program with the Nanaimo Art Gallery and has hosted workshops at other arts organizations such as Salt Spring Island Printmakers and this winter at The Old School House in Qualicum Beach.
