About the Event

Learn a variety of image transfer methods and techniques using readily available materials. Participants will learn to produce and incorporate image transfers into their work. Whether you're a mixed media artist, fine art photographer, painter, art journaler, or simply someone interested in learning about image transfers, this workshop is suitable for all levels, and perfect for anyone looking to broaden their creative practice. 

Please Bring the Following:

  • Assortment of toner-based photocopy images (produced by a laser printer or photocopier, not an Inkjet)
  • Packed lunch and full water bottle

About Your Instructor:

Tony has been working professionally for over 30 years and is a photo arts graduate (BAPA) from Ryerson Polytechnical University. He is currently on the guest faculty of the Vancouver Island School of Art teaching alternative photography, collage, and photo-based mixed media. He also teaches in the Continuing Education department at University of Victoria. Tony has worked in several different mediums, including digital artwork, collage, iPhoneography, alternative based photography, mixed media, printmaking and encaustics. His work draws inspiration from his travels, the environment, satellite photography and the human condition. He exhibits and sells his own fine art prints and mixed media artwork throughout North America.
