About the Event

Flow painting is the movement of water mixed with acrylic paints that creates surprising shapes and patterns such as creatures, waves, paths, clouds and textures. In this course, we will experiment with flow painting, and based on the background that emerges, participants will paint additional imagery, supported by the instructor and guided by their own imagination. This fluid painting technique is suitable for all experience levels.

Students are to supply their own 14 x 18‘’ canvas, and the instructor will provide all other materials.

Meet Your Instructor

Marcia Aftimus is a Brazilian artist whose work has been showcased in international exhibitions. Her paintings are full of archetypes, and through meditation, she opens the doors of her mind and heart and transforms what she discovers into painting.  She currently lives on Thetis Island where she teaches flow painting techniques.
