About the Event

Join us for a fun evening, perfect for families, friends, or just for you! This workshop is appropriate for adults and children 8 years and up. All participants under 13 years must be accompanied by an adult participant.

Eggs are cross-cultural symbols of hope, fertility and rebirth in spring. In this workshop we will explore different egg decorating techniques using plant-based natural dyes as well as synthetic dyes in the Ukrainian pysanka method. There will also be a brief segment on the symbolic significance of designs found in traditional Easter eggs.

Your instructor, Maggie Wouterloot, is a Nanaimo-based sculptor and educator. She loves the fact that this workshop is made possible by the collaboration of chickens, bees and humans!
