Instructor:  Josslyn Meyers 

This online class will consist of exercises, warm ups and key approaches to drawing that will help you "see like an artist sees" and express yourself with creative drawing. We will draw together in our zoom class, and share our work with friendly and helpful discussion. We will also study master and contemporary drawings and try techniques of expressive line, contour, cross hatching, modelling, drawing from observation and imagination. This is a great foundational class!

Recommended Materials List:

  • HB, 2B and 4B pencil,
  • charcoal pencil or vine charcoal,
  • kneaded erasure and white eraser,
  • black ink,
  • Japanese brush,
  • sketchbook

Art supplies can be purchased from your local art supply store, such as Iron Oxide in Nanaimo.
