About the Event
Celebrate the creative potential and accessibility of materials found in nature. Learn the art of basket weaving in the morning, and create your own incense sticks in the afternoon. Sign up for the individual workshops as described below, or sign up for both and save. All materials are included!
Basket Weaving With English Ivy - 10 AM to 12 PM
In this workshop, participants will learn about the invasive species, English Ivy, learn to process ivy for weaving, as well as a basic weaving technique. Each student creates a small basket to take home.
Incense Making - 1 to 3 PM
Participants will make their own incense cones and sticks using their favourite aromatic scents, flowers and plants. These incense will be made with all-natural plant materials, with a choice of the herbs/flavours such as cedar and lavender. Please bring a container to take home your creations.
