About the Event

In this four-day kids' art and drama camp for students aged 6 to 12 years, participants will gain an appreciation for other cultures and sample fine crafts from different countries. In the mornings, Maggie Wouterloot, fine arts instructor and educator of over 20 years, will journey with students to Iran, Ukraine, and India. They will learn about and make their own versions of Persian rugs, Ukranian Easter eggs, and Mehndi art. Then, in the afternoons, participants will get out their passports and expand their horizons through drama games and story telling with teacher Michaela Awale.

Each participant is asked to bring their own lunch, water bottle, and clothes that they can move freely in and get a little paint and glue on.

Please complete the Student Emergency Contact and Profile Form and submit it to education@ladysmitharts.ca prior to the start of the camp.
