One early morning on a walk at the harbour in Tofino, I observed this scene and fascinated, took photos. I was attracted to the composition of the geometric lines of the plywood and the marina juxtaposed to the curving lines of the ocean and background mountains.. I wondered where the plywood was going? Back in the studio I chose to design this painting from my photos and imagination.
