Francesca Reside graduated from Vancouver Island University with a BA in Visual Arts and Technical Theatre in 2013 and a event management certificate in 2016. Her passion for technology has led her to explore the inner workings of social media and digital marketing. Francesca has been the media coordinator for the Arts Council of Ladysmith and District for the past 4 years and she has been the social media manager for the Nanaimo Theatre Group since 2015. In 2020, she was the key instructor for a digital literacy series with the Cowichan Valley Regional District that received a Digital Fund Grant from the Canada Council For The Arts. The project included 6 online and in-person workshops around digital marketing for organizations and artists located in the Cowichan Valley. Francesca has also taught digital literacy workshops with other arts organizations including TOSH in Qualicum Beach, Comox Valley Arts and Spring Island Arts Council. For each workshop, her goal is to help people feel comfortable about creating an online presence and having a better understanding of how to use each program and to choose the best one for the individual. Francesca has taught classes on Instagram, Facebook, Canva, YouTube and Mailchimp. She offers group workshop and individual tech help through the Arts Council of Ladysmith. When she is not on the computer, Francesca is a printmaker and ceramic artist on Vancouver Island.
