About the Event

In this one day workshop, suitable for folks who are new or new-ish to the world of printmaking, we will create our own textured plates to make a collection of prints. We will be using non-toxic water-based inks, various textured materials, papers and the big press. Different textures on the plates hold varying amounts of ink which produce different tones. Other topics we'll cover include shop maintenance and safety as well as printmaking terminology. Each participant will go home with their own set of prints and a better understanding of this versatile form of printmaking as well as familiarity with using our print studio. All supplies will be included.

Please Bring:

  • A full water bottle and a bagged lunch

  • Clothes that can get a bit of ink on them
